commencing as soon as possible.

Job description:

The research tasks include the realization of project-specific crystal growth experiments as well as the physical and structural characterization of theses crystals.

The focus is thereby on compound semiconductor materials using the vertical gradient freeze (VGF) method under the influence of magnetic fields.

Requirements:

Applicants should hold a Diploma or an MSc degree in physics, crystallography, materials science or a related discipline. A Ph.D. in physics (preferred in solid state physics or physics of semiconductors), materials science, chemical and process engineering, or similar discipline is desirable.

We are looking for a team player with a high level of communication skills and the assertiveness to work in a highly motivated team of researchers and technicians.
